In Your Head Is Front Page News

Milford Cabinet Display Case

This is a crappy snapshot taken with my cell phone just outside the Milford District Court. The local Milford Cabinet printed The Right To Remain Silent cartoon on the front page along with this article about Lauren Canario’s court case.

I was surprised that a newspaper reprinted it without asking permission, but I’m not complaining. I was also surprised that they altered the image by covering part of it with the news blurb, enlarging the text bubble, converting it to grayscale, and then blowing up the entire image and placing it in the front of their vending machines! Track backs and cross-referencing is a common practice with blogs but I figured a newspaper would be more formal. Once again, I’m not complaining. It sure is great promotion. Thank you Milford Cabinet.

In a somewhat related note, the blog has gotten a lot of response in the short time that it’s been online. Anarchy In Your Head has been reposted and/or linked to in a number of other websites. The Exile Project and Preserving Freedom are reposting our cartoons regularly. Thanks to a repost in The Swamp Land Exile, Politics in Bizarro World was posted to the Lew Rockwell Blog page and got 56,500 hits! Thank you, Manuel Lora.

    Woohoo, you’re famous now :)

  2. If you do the right, and moral thing, even if the government butt kissers do not agree, I have to believe you will come out on top. Lauren didn’t want to give the government her money, and resisted their extortion when they threatened her. Good job Anarchy in your Head for highlighting the extortion. :)

That is interesting that a newspaper used you r art without permission. It’s still a good thing for you, but really odd that they would do that.
    Congrats on the exposure though.
