I recently updated the support page so please take a look. It describes a lot of simple things that readers can do to help promote and support the site, most of which require no money and very little time and effort.

Anarchy In Your Head just had quite a traffic rush from Stumbleupon and we’ve had similar rushes once or twice in the past. These traffic rushes are a great chance for new regular readers to discover the site. If you have the Stumbleupon toolbar and you enjoy this site, stumbling the comics and blog posts here can really help traffic which helps keep the site going. It’s very easy. Just click a button. It’s even easier than adding a bookmark. Also, if you visit a specific post you’ll see the sociable buttons (they don’t show on the index page unfortunately so you have to click the title or comment link) which also link to sites similar to Stumbleupon like Digg, Redit, and a number of others. I discuss how you can use those on the support page as well.

Some of you have probably noticed the new Project Wonderful ads. If you have a website that you think our readers might be interested in, this is a great way to reach them. I talk more about it on the support page. This is a really innovate service that’s really popular with webcomics and is effectively used for a lot cross-promotion, but I was disappointed with how few liberty-oriented websites seem to be taking advantage of this excellent free market innovation. Based on my searches for placement of AIYH ads, Anarchy In Your Head appears to be one of very few in that category. I hope that will change. If you have a liberty or libertarian website, take a look at it as a potential advertiser and publisher of ads. I know there are plenty of blogs that could be benefiting. Wearing both hats, running a comic strip and a liberty based blog, allowed me to discover this and I hope others will discover it soon so they can start taking advantage of what the webcomic sites have already figured out.
