Muppet Indoctrination

Muppet Indoctrination

Today’s strip was inspired by a New York Post article on Homeland Security’s use of children’s television to teach emergency awareness. Kudos to Seth Cohn for tuning me in to this and suggesting I do a comic about it.

Hey, kids, this week’s lesson is brought to you by the letter T – for terror.

It’s also brought to you by the letter H, for hurricane, and F, for fire, as the gang of fuzzy Muppets at Sesame Street joins forces with the Department of Homeland Security for a new education campaign aimed at teaching youngsters what to do in a disaster.

    Excellent, Dale. 🙂

“That looks like the New York Post.”

You’re right. I heard about it from someone who was alerted to it by Bureaucrash and got mixed up. Thank you for pointing out the error. It’s been hot-fixed.

  5. Pat K says:

Man this Dale guy is just nailing it.

  6. setHcoHn says:

Nice, Dale! Glad I turned you onto this… Grover + Yoda = Groda or Yover…
Being a big muppet fan, I’m thinking this character is Yover, because he can show you “Near”, “Far” and “Way Yover Here or There”

Next time, show the Other Iron Fist as well, which is shoved up inside the stuppet (statist puppet). It’s not easy being…. maybe a stuppet rebels? finds the rainbow connection?

  7. Steven Brady says:

You had me laughing out loud. Keep up the great work!

  8. Dale says:

Sorry Seth. I should have mentioned you. I’ve added that.

  9. Puke says:

    Grovyoda is the devil!

  10. Blue says:

Those tactics remind me of Afganistanimation from SuperTroopers.

So what does Grover do in the event of an attack, push the red button?
