And in many localities, at least, should you dare challenge their supremacy they harass you. I found a youtube vid awhile back, and in the side text the person describes how she admitted she'd seen some police brutality. The police proceeded to start a campaign of searches, misc harassment including having rifles pointed at her (she has a vid of that one), they put her on the terrorist watch list, and apparently spread the word around town that a certain someone was not considered under police protection anymore. The results from that last included numerous break-ins and even a rapist targetting her. Granted, one of her vids was just a police car ending up behind her in traffic, but assuming validity behind most of the rest of it I wouldn't blame her for being a bit skittish. You can see the lack of isolation in that incident just by going to youtube or google video and searching for "police brutality", "police harassment", or anything like that. And those aren't even counting things that are considered valid duties of the police that are directly criminal. Selective enforcement *and* selective abuse. I don't know whether Ian or Toby will go to the government's courts over this, and if they do I don't know what their tack will be, but your video is ample evidence that the police are selectively enforcing their laws - and possibly even that they are selectively *abusing* their laws.
