IFotS, heh. In the US, some of the churches are trying to ingratiate themselves with the state. Not even most of their adherents truly subject themselves to the church's rules. Invoke the power of the state, and suddenly people aren't given a choice whether or not to subject themselves to it. But it can't, yet, exercise the powers of an iron fist (with or without a velvet glove) directly. So it doesn't get one. Speaking of which, Dale? That might not be a bad idea for a comic. The two IFotSs having a pissing contest over whose glove collection is better :) "Well, I've got a diamond-studded glove with a monacle for all those sweet soirees with corporate interests!" "Oh yeah? I've got a rag glove for all my welfare promises." "Huh, you buy latex surgical in bulk too?" "Oh yeah. It's a must for tax time." "With or without lube?" "They squeal real purdy without!"
