Is good government possible? I’ve always said it’s not the size of government that’s the problem. It’s the nature of government that’s the problem. When it stops being a mafia-style monopoly, then it will finally be accountable like all other institutions would be if we truly had a free market. Small government will remain as much as fantasy as unicorns and the tooth fairy as long as the nature of government remains violent and monopolistic.

LOVE IT!
I’ve run into quite a few who don’t believe government can have any other nature than a violent and monopolistic one. First, they define it as such and then say that it can never be anything else, that any organization that was identical in every way except those two defining characteristics cannot be called “government”. Some have called such a thing “impossible”.

Rudy, it must be your browser settings that is creating the problem. Firefox, Epiphany and Konqueror all work swell for me.
Rudy, make sure you have the latest version of Firefox. A friend emailed me about a similar problem and that fixed it for her.

What part of “everyone leaves everyone else alone” don’t they understand?
