America! Fuck, yeah!
Inspired by Josh, a.k.a. Angry Josh. Of course I also have to give a hat tip to Trey Parker and Matt Stone for coining the phrase in Team America.

What does that have to do with minarchism? THe same question could be asked of just about any of the carttons that you have associated with minarchism.
If this is number two, what gonna be number one ?
DD
H. Rearden,
Think of it this way: Minarchism is the outdated Version 1.0 of classical liberalism. Anarcho-capitalism is the new(er), improved Version 2.0. So we ancaps are just puzzling over why the minarchists that have had exposure to ancap ideas still haven’t updated their mental programs.
Fuck yeah, nice one!
Is that a diaper or undies on that man?
Good analogy Matthew!
Nice comic. To be a statist, even a mini-statist, is to support countries like USA… The way they talk is about revolutionizing america, bringing freedom to america, changing america, bla bla bla… What about the world? What about me who is living here in Europe (for now)? Minarchism changes nothing. It’s just a rewind to the beginning of USA so that all this crap can play out all over again.
Statism, no matter how minimal you want the state to be, is inseparable from nationalism! I think that’s the point, right Dale?
Dale, you forgot the gold. Its red white blue and gold.
I think this is the best comic yet. Very in your face too. I love it. I promise not to be sad if the next one is almost as good.
Matthew
The cartoons are absurdly over the top. Not only would a minarchist not paint their body red, white, and blue, and weat what looks to be a diaper while holding a flag, a diehard big government supporting statist would not do that as far as I know because I have never seen someone do that. Have you? Also has it occured to you that there are minarchists in places other than America?
H. Rearden: you cannot have comedy without absurdly over the top, crazy material. This was pretty much perfect on so many levels. It also reminds me of the people who always tell me, If you don’t like this country, leave it.
It reminds me of what America has become: a nation of shallow people living for entertainment, shock value, and whose god is a multicolored cloth.
H. Rearden,
1) It’s a cartoon. It may be mildly distasteful, but it delivers its message and it makes people laugh. 2) This is a U.S. based site run by a guy who has to put up with Americans for the most part. 3) The overall point of the cartoon is spot-on: There are so many Americans blinded by their respect for “the founding fathers,” or “this great nation,” or whatever, that they can’t imagine a world without it. The nation has become a part of their identities. Some of these ideas may have been conveyed more concisely… or maybe not, since part of the message seems to be how mindless and absurd such idolatry is.
DALE!! A line from your “liberty potion strip” was mentioned on LRC: http://lewrockwell.com/lora/m.lora60.1.html
“As Dale Everett put it: The founding fathers were mistaken to think that a magic scroll would protect them from tyranny.”
I misquoted it:
‘… as Dale Everett puts it, “it was a noble effort, but the founding fathers were misguided to expect a magic scroll to protect their contrived republic.” ‘
HA! That picture should be on the cover of every magazine.
I think it is a good characterization of the majority of America… don’t know shit and proud of it. “Just turn on the game and gimmie a beer. if them arabs wanna fuck with us then we’ll turn ‘em into a glass parking lot. FUCK YEAH!!!”
Octopon do you think it should be on the cover of Green Anarchy Magazine? Chomsky might like the cartoon btw.
$ I like liberty.
BoogerRey how are you aware of what is a good characterization of the majority of America? Are you a pollster?
$ Liberty.
How are Dale Everette or AIYH fans different from Ron Paul fans? Some Ron Paul fans might also be AIYH fans. Just think about it. Just like Ron Paul supporters cheered on Ron Paul aren’t those who post to this website cheering on AIYH? Is that the pot calling the kettle black?
$ Btw, I am critical of Objectivism as well as all isms and archys.
Of all of the isms that should be tolerated, criticism should be amoung them.
H. Rearden
If you agree(or disagree) with that statement and want to use it, I would appreciate it if you credit me with the quote..
Reardon, give me an example of this intolerance of criticism of which you speak. If someone doesn’t agree with the criticism, is that intolerance? If someone in return criticizes the criticism, is that intolerance? If someone finds the comment unworthy of a reply, is that intolerance? Help me out here.
And Reardon, it’s not a diaper. It’s a thong, a.k.a. a banana hammock. Geez.
My favorite was still 6, think you can top it in #1 dale?
I actually *LIKE* this one!
I dont know how many times Ive seen folks cheerleading with chants of “USA! USA! USA!” (at the Houston TX Tea-party for example.)
Note how the dude in this is painted such that he looks like an inverted French Flag. XD
