  1. Alex Libman says:

Anarkitty cartoons may be universally funny, but they’re politically counter-productive… In fact, they would make more sense coming from a statist “government knows best” perspective… :(

(See my comments on previous ones for more.)

  2. Dale says:

    Disclaimer: People aren’t kitties

  3. susan28 says:

    Meow!

i love AnarKitty and don’t get a statist vibe from the cartoons at all – She brings out the Tiger in me and makes me wanna go forth and Rip the System!!

  4. Alex Libman says:

In real life kitties clearly aren’t people (google “alex libman animal rights” w/o quotes), but in a cartoon everything is possible, especially when this cat is SHOWN to be able to think. A statist would look at this comic, chuckle, and think “ordinary people need the state to take care of them, just like domesticated kitty-cats need their human guardians”.

Of course I’m sure Dale has an ace or twenty up his sleeve, and AnarKitty is about to go through some interesting character development… maybe… ;)

  5. BoogerRey says:

    Do cats really need us?

  6. Alex Libman says:

There are almost a billion domesticated cats in the world, considerably more than wild felines, and that ratio will continue to grow. Wild animals, especially carnivores, cannot till the soil or fish the oceans, and can thus only access about 1/1000th the amount of food per acre that humans can – that ratio will continue to grow as well. Humans have conquered this planet, and all animals that exist here only exist because we allow them to, and they do benefit from human intervention in their environment. It is doubtful that another evolutionary triumph (super-intelligent squid?) could ever be as humane. As the human economy progresses, so does our budget for keeping pets, zoos, safaris, aquariums, terrariums, insectariums, greenhouse gardens, genetic “backup” banks, and so on. Someday there may be kitty-cats on thousands of terraformed moons and planets, and on billions of spaceships / stations – all thanks to man!

  7. DinnerBoi says:

    I love Anarkitty.

  8. Amossk says:

    @Alex Libman

You’re taking it way too seriously. Anarkitty is comic relief, not a deep psychological, wold political metaphor. Not everything Dale draws has to be rooted in his world views or even in reality. My advise is just relax, stop picking this comic apart looking for cryptic meaning and enjoy the humor.

  9. Dale says:

Thanx for trying, Amossk, but based on personal experience, I feel the effort will be lost on Alex.

  10. Aaron Kinney says:

Anarkitty is awesome! Anarkitty must continue the struggle!

And Alex Libman is the head of the Ministry of Truth. His problem is that Anarkitty refuses to fill out the proper form and submit it to Alex’s council for review. Oh, the irony!

  11. Anarkitty cartoons are quite universally funny. i really love AnarKitty a lot.

  12. Anarkitty cartoons are simply awesome. Nice designed and well interpreting the characters. Full entertainment.
