  1. Lord Metroid says:

    What is Moxie?

  2. Luthor says:

LOL! This is seriously the funniest comic you’ve made to date! are the two young kids Josh and Cooper?

  3. This is an insiders’ inside joke. Esoterica.

  4. H. Rearden says:

Moxie is a soft drink that I think is mostly bottled in NH and New England. I have tried it and I don’t like. Apparently it has been around either longer than Coca Cola or about as long.

  5. Calpurnia says:

Unless you know the right secret passwords (or the right Mexican druglords), you pretty much can’t get Moxie outside New England. I miss it.

If you want to know what it tastes like, take some RC Cola and put a penny in it to dissolve (an honest copper penny, not one of those debased zinc abortions). Drink the result. Refreshing!

  6. I can probably find a real copper penny, but finding RC Cola is going to be a bit more difficult.

  7. Corey Moore says:

@Michael: We have RC here in Ohio. I can bring some out to PorcFest ;)

  8. H. Rearden says:

RC is pretty much sold everywher. A lot of people don’t think that it is because they don’t look for it because they usually buy Coke or Pepsi products. There was a time when places that sold moonpies also sold RC. There was a time when a person was more likely to drink RC while eating a moonpie than other drinks.

  9. Josh the Vet says:

Moxie is the greatest soda in all the land!

  10. Loonie says:

Moxie was popular back in the ’50′s on the east coast, there were frequent references to it in MAD magazine (published out of New York city) in the late ’50′s, early ’60′s. That’s where I first heard about it. I finally got to taste it when I went to the LF; not half bad!

Moonpies and RC; now that definitely has a more-ish taste.

  11. Dave says:

Yes, RC Cola is sold here in our city, too. It’s pretty much everywhere. But I have tasted it only once.

By the way, is anarchy-in-your-head publishing a magazine? I do not always access the internet and would want to get an periodic update.

  12. Dale says:

    No magazine.

  13. Mary says:

    Haha, “Diet Moxie”
