Free & Easy Stuph!
Anything you can do to get more eyes on this comic will help raise potential revenue from business sponsors. There are lots of little things you can do to help that require no money on your part. The comic takes considerable time and effort and it’s simply a lot more rewarding to know lots of people are enjoying it. Besides that, any income I’m able to make allows me to spend more time on it and helps insure that it continues. I’ll be arranging for people to become private sponsors by making automatic regular contributions with Paypal, which will be greatly appreciated, but I wanted to show how people can help without spending a penny themselves and with very little time and effort. Ultimately that comes down to getting a buzz going and getting more eyes on the comic.

See that row of icons underneath each entry? They link to a number of different social networking sites. Take a moment to click one and submit comics or blog posts that you like to things like Digg or Stumbleupon. Some of the information like the title and URL will already be entered for you in many cases. If someone has already submitted that comic or blog post, you’ll have the opportunity to raise the ranking of that entry. This is another great way for people to discover the site.
Post the Comics Wherever!
It’s ok to repost the comics and other material on this site. Really! Email them to friends who might like them (don’t spam please), or better yet just email a link to the specific page with the comic. Print them in full color and post them in the coffee break room at work. Host a favorite cartoon on your site or in a forum where it’s relevant to the topic. Scatter them to the four winds! I love it when you do. The cartoons all have the URL on them somewhere but it’s nice if you also make them link back to the site with a click. If you want to fire off an email letting me know about it or post a comment on the strip, that’s great because I like to hear about people promoting the comic, but certainly not required or even expected. All comments on strips forward to my email, btw, unless the spam catcher gets them. I do kindly ask that you not alter the material.
Repost AIYH banners on the Web
Use one or more of the fun images or banners below. I’ll be expanding the options quite a bit in the near future and creating a new page called “Fun Free Stuph!” with signature banners, blog ads, avatars, and blog images. In the meantime, just scroll down for signature banners. Put banners in your signature and promote AIYH wherever you post messages. Many are small enough to be added to an existing signature. Use AIYH avatars in your forums for conversation pieces. “Where did you get that cartoon monkey? He’s cute!” I’m going to be adding quite a few blog images which are great fun to post in relevant threads and have our URL, like images for responding to trolls or necrophiliacs who bump dead threads. If you’re feeling really nice, you’ll take a moment to wrap it with url tags and link it back to the site with a click! See how this is done with the banner code below.

The store is loaded with t-shirts, mouse pads, coffee mugs, and even clocks. It’s always being expanded with new products, many inspired by popular characters or ideas and some just fun things I think up. There’s an entire section just for 4:20 products. If you really like a particular cartoon and want a product with that cartoon printed on it, email me and it can be made available. Bare in mind that the images printed on products is at a MUCH higher resolution for the sake of quality than the preview images in the store. My images are all generated using vector graphics which allows me to generate them at any resolution without loss of quality.
Advertise on Anarchy In Your Head
I’ve added Project Wonderful ad spots to the site which are available to anyone who wants to reach our readers. Your ad can be in one of those spots in no time at all. Just click the link beneath the ad spot and it will take you to an eBay-style bidding page. Data is available showing the traffic trends of the ad. Bid whatever you think the ad spot is worth. You can even bid lower than the current high bid and your ad can show up later when a higher bid runs out. Bid much higher to hold onto a spot if you think it’s worth that amount because your bid is automatically reduced to just high enough to outbid the second highest bidder. You’re charged only for the time during which your ad is actually being served as the highest bidder. The bid amount is for 24 hours and you’re charged a pro-rated amount for partial days. I love the idea. It’s totally market-based which is particularly appealing to me as a fan of the free market.
